End of Year

Sorry I neglected my blog for sooo long.  I wanted to post one last time with some great pictures of the students.  At the beginning of the year I had the students draw self portraits and then I asked them to do the same today.  Here are the boys and girls with both of their pictures!  Enjoy and have a great summer!!!!

Easter Writing

I can't believe it is just over a week until Easter!  We thought we better get a few Easter projects in before it was too late.  Today we made these cute bunnies and then the kids wrote what they liked about Easter.  Egg hunts and candy were mentioned often, I bet that doesn't surprise you!  I am so proud of the writing they have been doing lately.

Class Map

Today we talked about what maps are used for.  We talked about how the view is from up above.   We brainstromed what types of things were important to put on our map and what was not needed.  I think they did an awesome job!!

Farm to School Visit

For our "Farm to School" visit today we had a real dairy farmer come and see us!  He brought us string cheese and milk to snack on.  We also got to try to milk a cow.... well, a pretend cow :)  It was a great morning.  We are lucky to have such a great program in our school.

Here we are with Jake trying to milk a cow

                                                  Milk and string cheese!  Yummy!

Dr Seuss Week

Took me a while to get these up..I think they are worth the wait!  We had a fun week of Dr. Seuss activities.

I think Western Day was one of the favorites!

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish
We had to read our color words and then draw and add colored fish.

Nickolas is using gummy fish to solve addition problems.
Kyle is busy coloring fish patterns.
 Green Eggs and Ham
Everyone seemed to like the green eggs and ham for snack!  We would eat them here or there...we would eat them anywhere!!!

The Cat in the Hat came and read to us.  Hunter was the lucky winner of a book from the Cat!

We love wearing pajamas to school!!!
