Dr. Seuss Week information

Presidents Day

This morning we talked about Presidents Day.  We read a story about President Lincoln, our 16th president.  We decided to draw Mr. Lincoln so we could see how tall he was compared to us.  Ask your child what else they know about President Lincoln.

100th Day Fun!!

Today was the 100th Day of School!  We were very busy with all types of activities that centered on the concept of 100.  We counted, played games, shared collections, walked 100 steps made crowns and so much more.  Check out some of our fun in the pictures below.

Kyndra is busy putting 100 gumballs in her gumball machine.  We drew 10 at a time to make it easier to count all 100.  We even got a piece of bubble gum when we were done!

Jack's mom, Mrs. Newhouse, is helping make crowns and color 100th Day posters.

Alexis, Evie, and Katie are looking for tricky sight words in their book I Count 100 Things.

Jayden, Hunter, and Jackson are also looking for words in their book called Super Zero.

We played our counting game called "Buzz" in the gym with all the other kindergarten classes.  Jack was the winner for our class. He got to play with the winners from the other classes and he was the winner there too!!  Good Job, Jack!

Everyone brought in collections of 100 things.  We put them all in our 100th Day Museum.

We made a list of 100 words that we can read!  We are sooooo smart!
